What should be included?
Specify removal and disposal of old frames, new subframes where needed, glazing, hardware and airtight junctions. Discuss window sills, trims and painting separately.
uPVC, timber or aluminium
The choice depends on appearance, maintenance, frame profile and room use. Consider glazing, ventilation and the balance between fixed and opening sections. A larger window may require a different glass specification and fixing method.
Accurate measurement prevents surprises
The junction with the existing facade and the condition of the base must be established before ordering. Damaged masonry or timber decay may require additional repairs.
Grants for insulating glass
Check the current ISDE conditions with RVO before ordering. Eligibility depends on factors including the product, application, area and documentation. A grant is not an automatic discount on our quote.
Frequently asked questions
Are glazing and installation included in replacement window costs?
That depends on the quote. Specify frame material, glazing, hardware, ventilation, removal, waste disposal and interior and exterior finishing. Compare frames with the same dimensions and standard of finish.
How long does window replacement take?
The number of frames, access, existing junctions and repair work determine the schedule. Ask about both lead time and installation days, and agree how openings will be protected during the work. A fixed duration is unreliable without assessing the property.
Do I need a permit to replace windows in the Netherlands?
This depends on the change, the façade and any protected-building status. Complete the Omgevingsloket permit check for your address and plans. An apartment may also be subject to owners’ association rules; their consent does not replace a permit when one is required.
Is the price on this page a quote?
No. An estimate or worked example is for initial planning. The property, materials and agreed scope determine your quote.
