Costs and included work
For living room underfloor heating costs, compare the scope first: floor suitability, heating design, pipework and connection. A price is useful only when supply and finishing work are clearly defined.
| Work / price basis (from) | Starting indication | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Milled-in underfloor heating 41–50 m², five circuits | From € 2,000 | Market example including installation, manifold, pipe and VAT; floor finish separate. |
Market indications checked on 2 October 2026, not fixed Multi Concurrent tariffs. The stated work and unit apply; the quotation confirms the total, VAT and any additional work.
What affects your total?
Milled-in pipes, studded panels and electric mats use different floor build-ups. Removal of finishes, milling structural concrete, levelling, controls and the new floor finish are not automatically included.
What to send with your request
Send floor area by room, existing floor build-up, heat source and desired finish. Include your postcode, preferred schedule and the elements that must remain, so the scope can be assessed.
Check suitability
An installer should assess heat requirements, insulation, the available floor build-up and connection to the heat source. Underfloor heating is not automatically suitable as the only heat emitter in every room.
Choose the installation method
Milled, overlay and other systems have different substrate and height requirements. Compare them using the actual floor condition rather than price per square metre alone.
Include the complete project
Ask about controls, connections, testing, floor preparation and compatible finishing. Agree drying and commissioning requirements with the flooring installer before the new floor is laid.
