Costs and included work

For installing underfloor heating, compare the scope first: floor suitability, heating design, pipework and connection. A price is useful only when supply and finishing work are clearly defined.

What affects your total?

Milled-in pipes, studded panels and electric mats use different floor build-ups. Removal of finishes, milling structural concrete, levelling, controls and the new floor finish are not automatically included.

What to send with your request

Send floor area by room, existing floor build-up, heat source and desired finish. Include your postcode, preferred schedule and the elements that must remain, so the scope can be assessed.

Survey and design

Assess insulation, heat source, room use and available floor height. Agree zones and controls before selecting the installation method.

Prepare and install

The substrate must meet the selected system's requirements. Coordinate service routes and other trades, and identify checks that must take place before the floor is covered.

Commission and hand over

Follow the specified testing and commissioning process. Provide operating guidance and system information, and confirm the requirements of the final floor covering with its installer.
