Costs and included work
For kitchen renovation costs, compare the scope first: dismantling, service alterations, kitchen components and installation. A price is useful only when supply and finishing work are clearly defined.
| Work / price basis | Starting indication | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Kitchen renovation costs | Price on request | Dismantling, service alterations, kitchen components and installation |
What affects your total?
Specify whether the work concerns the room itself or also includes cabinets, worktops and appliances. Reusing cabinets requires a different approach from fitting a new kitchen. The worktop, appliances, electrical work, water, drainage and finishes should be identifiable in the budget.
What to send with your request
Send kitchen dimensions, photos, an appliance list and the components you want to retain. Include your postcode, preferred schedule and the elements that must remain, so the scope can be assessed.
Separate the main items
Cabinets, appliances, worktops, removal and building preparation should be identifiable in the budget. Retaining suitable parts can be an option, but their condition and compatibility need assessment.
Coordinate the installation plan
Water, waste, electricity and ventilation must match the final kitchen design. Structural changes or new openings need their own assessment before the room is stripped.
Compare the complete result
Check floor and wall repairs, tiling, decoration and disposal. Agree who measures, supplies, installs and commissions each component so that gaps between contractors do not delay completion.
