First establish which materials are present and what approach is required. Then discuss the new covering, insulation, roof edges, drainage and the condition of the supporting structure. Temporary weather protection between stages belongs in the schedule.
What affects the work?
Height, access, neighbouring buildings and the use of the property affect site organisation. A shed roof involves different logistics from a large roof above a home or business.
Comparing quotes on the same basis
Ask asbestos removal and roofing companies to quote against the same specification. Agree who coordinates the handover between stages and which reports and completion documents belong in the project file.
