Costs and included work
For roof renovation: costs, options and advice, compare the scope first: roof area, covering system, substrate and junction details. A price is useful only when supply and finishing work are clearly defined.

What affects your total?
Removal of old layers, decking repairs, insulation, edge details, drainage and scaffolding are assessed separately. A covering price is not a price for replacing the entire structural roof.
What to send with your request
Send roof area, material, known age, photos and information about roof access. Include your postcode, preferred schedule and the elements that must remain, so the scope can be assessed.
Survey before specifying
Assess covering, substrate, drainage, insulation and signs of moisture or movement. Hidden defects may require further investigation before the final scope is confirmed.
Coordinate improvements
If insulation, windows or other equipment are planned, design their junctions with the roof work. Check relevant permissions and structural requirements for the actual project.
Include protection and handover
Agree access, temporary weather protection, waste removal and inspection points. Record materials, completed details and maintenance information when the roof is handed over.
