Ceiling plastering costs

Ceiling-plastering costs are affected by height, access, existing finishes and the required result. A price per square metre should describe the preparation as well as the new plaster.

Costs and included work

For ceiling plastering costs, compare the scope first: substrate preparation, layer build-up and agreed finish level. A price is useful only when supply and finishing work are clearly defined.

Work / price basis (from)Starting indicationScope
Ceilings plastered ready for paintingFrom € 22 per m²Market example including standard materials, excluding VAT.

Market indications checked on 2 October 2026, not fixed Multi Concurrent tariffs. The stated work and unit apply; the quotation confirms the total, VAT and any additional work.

What affects your total?

Loose layers, damp, cracks, major unevenness, corner profiles and work at height may require additional work. Ready for wallpaper, ready for painting and painted are different finish levels.

What to send with your request

Send separate wall and ceiling areas, substrate photos and the desired final finish. Include your postcode, preferred schedule and the elements that must remain, so the scope can be assessed.

Inspect the existing ceiling

Loose layers, cracks, moisture and the construction above may affect the work. Identify any cause of damage before covering it with a new finish.

Plan access and protection

Furniture, floors, lighting and cornices need consideration. Ask whether moving or disconnecting fittings is included and which tasks require an installer.

Define the handover standard

Specify a smooth or textured finish and whether decoration is included. Drying conditions and repairs around fittings should be agreed before the painter starts.
