Costs and included work
For tree felling costs, compare the scope first: survey, groundworks, landscaping materials and waste removal. A price is useful only when supply and finishing work are clearly defined.
| Work / price basis | Starting indication | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Tree felling costs | Price on request | Survey, groundworks, landscaping materials and waste removal |
What affects your total?
Tree height, trunk size, proximity to buildings, lifting space and removal routes determine equipment; permissions and ecological constraints need assessment. Access, ground conditions, level differences and existing planting can make a flat rate per square metre misleading. Discuss specialist landscaping with a gardener; it is not automatically part of a building contract.
What to send with your request
Send garden dimensions, changes in level, desired layout and access width. Include your postcode, preferred schedule and the elements that must remain, so the scope can be assessed.
Provide useful site information
Send photographs of the tree and nearby buildings, roads and overhead or underground services. Mention access restrictions and whether machinery can reach the site.
Check local requirements
Rules can depend on the address, tree and protected status. Check the municipality and official permit process before committing to removal; ownership does not automatically remove these requirements.
Clarify the scope
Felling, dismantling, stump removal and waste handling are separate items. State whether timber is left on site, cut into sections or taken away.
Use the right specialist
A qualified tree-care professional should assess the method and site controls. This knowledge page does not advertise unverified in-house arboricultural services.
