Costs and included work
For when should roof coverings be replaced?, compare the scope first: roof area, covering system, substrate and junction details. A price is useful only when supply and finishing work are clearly defined.
| Work / price basis (from) | Starting indication | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Bitumen roof covering | From € 50 per m² | Market indication including VAT and fitting; substrate repairs and extras separate. |
Market indications checked on 2 October 2026, not fixed Multi Concurrent tariffs. The stated work and unit apply; the quotation confirms the total, VAT and any additional work.
What affects your total?
Removal of old layers, decking repairs, insulation, edge details, drainage and scaffolding are assessed separately. A covering price is not a price for replacing the entire structural roof.
What to send with your request
Send roof area, material, known age, photos and information about roof access. Include your postcode, preferred schedule and the elements that must remain, so the scope can be assessed.
Recognise reasons for assessment
Recurring leaks, damaged joints, loose elements and visible deterioration warrant attention. A stain inside the home should be investigated rather than assumed to prove that every roof layer needs replacement.
Repair or replace?
The roofer should explain the extent and cause of defects and the condition of the substrate. Ask why a local repair is sufficient or why broader work is recommended.
Plan the associated work
Replacement can be coordinated with insulation, drainage and other roof improvements where appropriate. Include access, weather protection, disposal and final inspection in the quotation.
