Costs and included work
For solar panels, compare the scope first: panel layout, modules, inverter, cabling and safe connection. A price is useful only when supply and finishing work are clearly defined.
| Work / price basis | Starting indication | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Solar panels | Price on request | Panel layout, modules, inverter, cabling and safe connection |
What affects your total?
Roof condition, shading, cable routes and the distribution board affect installation. Compare system capacity and included installation; a module price is not a fully connected system.
What to send with your request
Send annual consumption, roof dimensions, orientation and photos of the roof and distribution board. Include your postcode, preferred schedule and the elements that must remain, so the scope can be assessed.
A system suited to the home
Household size alone does not determine the appropriate number of panels. Consider consumption, future appliances, usable roof space, orientation and shading. Have the suitability of the roof and fixings assessed for the proposed installation.
Coordinating with renovation work
If roof replacement or insulation is planned, agree the sequence first. This avoids removing a new installation shortly afterwards. Plan cable routes, the distribution board and possible future expansion in advance.
Net metering and self-consumption
Dutch net metering ends on 1 January 2027. A new installation assessment should therefore include the situation without net metering. Purchase cost, self-consumption, export compensation and export charges affect the result; a fixed return or payback period does not apply to every home.
Comparing complete quotations
Compare panel number and capacity, inverter, mounting system, cable route, distribution-board changes and commissioning checks. Record any roof work, scaffolding or access requirements. Ask for a clear distinction between supply, installation, extras and maintenance and warranty terms.
